Shizuoka acquire Resona Perdania

Shizuoka Bank Ltd. will acquire144,759 shares in an Indonesian unit of Resona Holdings Inc. PT Bank Resona Perdania, bringing its holding to 5.08 percent. Resona made the announcement in a release to the Tokyo Stock Exchange today.

Resona Perdania is the first Japanese joint venture firm in Indonesia. The company, established soon after Indonesia and Japan established diplomatic relations in 1958, is a joint venture bank servicing Japanese and Japanese-Indonesian companies in Indonesia.

Bank Resona serves Japanese companies and Japanese-Indonesian companies, also local companies.

The impact of the capital and business tie-up on the Resona Holdings’ consolidated business performance will be limited. Resona Bank intends to further strengthen its capabilities to cater to the needs of its corporate clients considering doing businesses especially in Asia.
