Djarum boost stake in BCA

Djarum Group jacks up its domination as the largest owner of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk by purchasing 515 million shares from UBS Securities. The grup completed this purchase through its subsidiaries, PT Tricipta Mandhala Gumilang and PT Caturguwiratna Sumapala.
Both the company are the controlling shareholders of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk. The company through Credit Suisse buys 515 million BCA shares at IDR6,700 per share from UBS Securities.
Djarum Group now holds 50.24% of BCA shares after taking over 515 million shares, which equals to 2.25%. Djarum is a business belonging to Hartono brothers, Robert and Michael. These two tycoons, with fortune as much as US$1.1 billion, have recently been listed as the richest people in Indonesia by Forbes.
Formerly Djarum grab IDR4.76 trilion from share sale in Sarana Menara. The controlling shareholders of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), telecommunication tower provider company affiliated into Djarum Group, grabbed IDR4.76 trillion proceed during the acquisition of 396.89 million or nearly 38.9% shares to the investors.
It was stated that two controllers of Sarana Menara, Tricipta Mandhala and PT Caturguwiratna Sumapala disposed the shares of Sarana Menara through private placement at IDR12,000 per share.
Sarana Menara happens to be the holding company of telco tower provider, PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo).Post the private placement, the share ownership of Tricipta Mandhala and Caturguwiratna in Sarana Menara decreased from 89% to 50.1%. During such corporate action, Credit Suisse and CLSA acted as the selling agent of Sarana Menara.
