Bank Muamalat plans to raise IDR952,31 billion

PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia plans to sell about 820.25 million new shares at 1,161 rupiah a piece through a rights offer in July. Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund the business expansion.
The rights issue scheme worth IDR952.31 billion to boost up the capital adequavy ratio (CAR) into 14 percent and support the business expansion by 30 percent target.
Profit of Bank Muamalat by end of 2009 dropped 64.33 percent into IDR107 billion as from IDR300 billion in 2008 following the low financing expansion which creates cost due to the much idle fund.
Up to December 2009, Bank Muamalat owns financing outstanding worth IDR11.45 trillion or only rose 9.25 percent from the former year of IDR10.48 trillion. The position of third party fund is on the level of IDR13.4 trillion.
