Star Energy, an Indonesian power producer, plans to sell $350 million of five-year 11.5 percent
bonds. The company currently operates two units of geothermal-fired power plant, namely the Wayang Windu 1 (110 MW) and 2 (117 MW) geothermal-fired power plants.

Star Energy is going to invest US$350 million-US$400 million to develop geothermal with a total capacity of 173 MWe (megawatt electrical).
Star Energy is controlled by Prajogo Pangestu-owned Barito Pasifik (40%), London-based financial firm Ashmore (30%), and individuals (20%). Wayang Windu geothermal-fired power plant development would be part of the second-batch 10,000 MW project.
