BTPN plans to issues IDR750 billion bonds

PT Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk plans to issues IDR750 bonds. The company will use the funds from the notes to supporting credit expansion.
President Director BTPN Jerry Ng says the notes will separate to various tranche refers the tenure. The company plans to offer the notes with tenure 3 years-5 years
Net profit of BTPN in 2009 increased 11 percent into IDR420.4 billion as from the IDR378.9 billion in the previous year.
Jerry said the business development investment has boosted the corporate asset growth by 63 percent into IDR22.3 trillion last year as from the IDR13.7 trillion in the previous year.
As to him, the investment also provides similar result on the swelling operational revenues by 50 percent into IDR2.34 trillion as from IDR1.56 trillion in the previous year.
The soaring operational revenue comes particularly from the soaring interest income with the credit growth.
"Our strategy focuses on the pensioner market shares and small and medium enterprise. Many programs are developed to provide chances for our stakeholders particularly the retired persons and SME so as to grow the finance and capacity as well," he said.
He said the customers trust is growing as seen from the increasing public fund by 63 percent into IDR18.5 trillion as from the previous year.
"Business development and optimization of credit channeling should go along with the prudence principles so as to cut down corporate gross NPL into 0.51 percent as from 0.59 percent in previous year.
Last year, BTPN served more than 500,000 retired individuals and ore than 120,000 SME players through 1,030 offices.
Jerry says in 2009 BTPN has added some office networks by opening 493 BTPN people business partner so that the corporate distribution networks stood at 1,030 including 539 offices for BTPN people business partner
To support the distribution networks, BTPN has recruited more than 7,000 employees and thus making up the 10,372 employees up to December 31, 2009.
He said the business development of BTPN is supported by the information technology investment. "Now the distribution network of BTPN has reached more than 1,000 offices with online and real time operational."
He said the loan facility given by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in IDR currency is equivalent to US$70 million. "We have not spent all the funds here."
