PT Bumi Resources Tbk, Indonesia's biggest coal producer, declined 5.8 percent to 2,425 rupiah, the most actively traded stock by value on the composite index today.
Bumi Resources announce it's studying media reports on the tax authority's allegation of the company's tax liability, and is awaiting further explanation while studying the facts to be in line with the tax authority's understanding on the matter, it said.
The Directorate General of Taxation is conducting an investigation into tax crimes involving IDR2 trillion's worth of money and three coal mining companies.
The indications of the crimes were related to tax liabilities for 2007 taxation year. The investigation has been running since March 2009.
